X-Ball Ball Social Event of Season

"I must have lost my invitation," says Tad.

Monster Island, Dec. 24 - Monster Island was treated to the annual spectacular that is the X-Ball Ball, a charity event to raise money for Hoops' X-Ball Kidz Kampz..

Although there was some speculation about Hoops resurfacing in time for the annual event, he was there in full force, monkey suit on and all. He was joined by all the Major League X-Ball players, Commissioner of X-Ball, L. Brainius, the executive board of the Nakamaji Corp., and over 2,000 assorted celebrities and X-Ball fans.

The annual event, an all-night dance party and ice cream social held in the X-Ball Arena raised over $15,000,000, which, after costs are recouped, will yield almost $5 for charity. Critics of the event have mentioned eliminating the solid gold chairs and tables, or the waiters made entirely out of diamonds as ways of reducing costs.

Hoops, however feels that these elements are, "tradition. They are what makes the event as great as it is. But, on the other hand No! There is no other hand!"

Other than monetary concerns, and Amanda's mysterious absence from most of the activities, the event was considered a success by the delighted attendees, who were treated to live performances by Kriss Kross, Bryan Adams, and after everybody left, Hoops.

While X-Ball Ball attendees recovered from hangovers and embarrassing "naked incidents," Hoops was already planning for next year. "Look," said Hoops. "If we made this much money this year, if we spend twice as much money, we'll get almost $10! A profit that large is unheard of in the non-profit arena. I rule."

Reaction from the Team Captains:

Snowmen are Kings of the Dance Floor:

"Did you see us out there? We rocked. I had got my buds together every day for four hours a week, and we had a routine down. We got to the Arena early, so we could stake out a nice place. One hour went by, then two. Then, finally 'Who Let the Dogs Out,' came on, and we were smokin'. I'll tell you who let the dogs out: us. Last night. At the X-Ball Ball. Bam!"

"The party looked like a lot of fun from my cage," says Vengeance:

"Well, normally we get to go out to the X-Ball Ball, but this year, Pain accidentally talked to one of the guards. So they decided to keep us locked up. We were brought to the party, but we had to be in hanging cages, dressed in pasties all night dancing. I thought it was humiliating, but everybody else sort of enjoyed it. It's better than having your skin ripped off, I guess."

"Do you have more of those little hot dogs?" asks Gridiron:

"Do you have more of those little hot dogs? No, I don't want a spanakopita, thank you. I really wanted a pig in a blanket. Yes I saw one of the guys come by earlier, but I was eating a plate of pasta salad-Really? I'd love that. Are you sure I'm not putting the kitchen out at all? Okay, well, could I have thirty, maybe?"

Amanda Buys the Biggest Rabbit In All of Londontown:

"I wasn't going to go to the party at first, but then somethings miraculous happened, and I changeds my mind. I also brought a large rabbit with me, to munch on. It was delicious. I feel like a seedling, I'm sos giddy."
