Monkeys Almost Peer Pressured Into Drinking AlcoholLearn Important Stuff | |
|
The Monkeys Who Play Sports dealt with the important issue of peer pressure Saturday. "We were all kind of tired Saturday night," said team captain Gridiron. "All we wanted to do was to rent a movie, maybe make some popcorn, and go to sleep early. You know, have an "me" night. But with five of us. So more of an "us" night, really." At approximately 9:30 PM, the Extreme Snowmen came over and convinced the tired Monkeys to come with them to a "totally sick party." Although worried that this might be one of those "alcohol" parties, the Monkeys went anyway, so they wouldn't offend the Snowmen. Once there, however, things took a turn for the worse. "First of all, there was alcohol there," said Puck, the hockey-playing Monkey. "Even though we refused to drink it, the Snowmen kept insisting we try some 'totally sick punch.' Gridiron was great, though. He looked Azz Eater right in the face, and said, 'I won't drink that punch, because I don't want to get totally sick.' Then we left. We felt really good about ourselves." For the entire next week, the Monkeys proceeded to talk about their bravery to anybody who would listen. |
