Snowmen Release First Minute of Song
Rioting Ensues

Monster Island, 1.17.02 - The Extreme Snowmen shocked viewers of "Monster Hits," the weekly music countdown show on XTV, by unveiling the first minute of their new song "Snowman Party (Is Ice)."

Addressing the squealing prepubescent lizards, bird beasts, and mutant crabsicles, host Phipp Tilbert announced that he was "very excited" to have these "fabulous young men" on his show since they had promised him a "surprise."

The Snowmen then bounded onto stage and gave each other high fives. Coolboard Luke handed Phipp a cassette, which appeared to be a taped-over copy of A Chipmunk Christmas, and said "The magic's back, baby."

Soon, the floor-filling pop sounds of the Snowmen incited the crowd into head-nodding and side-to-side swaying, along with finger snapping and a touch of the ol' tappity-tap in the toenail region.

After exactly one minute, the song abruptly cut off in the middle of the second verse.

Following ten seconds of awkward silence, a burly crabsicle yelled out "That's it?" A visibly uncomfortable Coolboard Luke mumbled something about only having time to lay down one vocal track. Redd mentioned "having a dentist appointment" he had already cancelled twice.

In response, angry mobs set fire to the studio and the adjoining fireworks factory and sawdust storehouse. The resulting blaze was visible from space.

The Snowmen, in a written statement, said they hoped the song snippet gave the world "just a taste" of the "brilliance" to come as soon as they were able to "snag some studio time." Also, they apologized for having burned down half the East Shore, destroying Monster Island's only television station, and for ruining Phipp Tilbert's one good toupee.

The Extreme Snowmen also announced they've finished 17 seconds of the video for "Snowman Party."
