Japan, 1752 - Young Hiro Nakamaji was upset. He was alone in the woods. In the dark, And hungry. He wished that he hadn't eaten all his food within the first five minutes of leaving home, and knew that if he was to continue searching for the Emperor's lychee nuts he would need sustenance.
Hiro thought for a moment. He was on the path more often traveled at the moment. To his right was a sign marking the path less traveled, which was also less lit and less paved. Perhaps this way he would find food, and the cursed nuts. As the moon rose over the Japanese forest, and wise ancient Pokemon rustled in the trees above, Hiro moved further and further into the brush. He didn't know how much time passed, but soon he found himself in an entirely new area of the forest, one he didn't recognize, and which didn't recognize him. Up ahead, he saw a clearing. 'Aha,' he thought. 'A clearing!' Moving closer to the clearing he thought he saw a shimmering light radiating from the grass on it's floor. Curious, he stepped out from the trees, and fell straight through the ground. 'Aha! An illusion!' he thought as he fell headfirst onto the ground below, striking his skull and falling uncouncious. When he awoke, he would embark on adventure eight million years in the making*... |
