Bif: Well, the X-Ball players sure hand their hands full out there today, what with all the sharks being lobbed through the air. | Tad: I'll say. Have you ever lobbed sharks, Bif? Bif: Can't say that I have, Tad. Tad: Yeah? Me and some buddies did it last weekend. Bif: No you didn't. Tad: Sure, sure, it was great. We lobbed sharks all day. Bif: Where? Tad: At the shark... lobbing... park. Bif: With what friends, Tad? Tad: You know, with, er, um... Bif: Sorry? Tad: Well, there was one guy who-- Bif: Yes? Tad: I have no friends. Bif: Tad, what about me? I'm your friend. Tad: Eh, you don't count. I mean cool friends. Bif: Why don't you suck it, Tad? 08.05.01 - With Kimberly still missing, the Bunny Pickin' Flowers were barely able to stay in the game, while the Monkeys Who Play Sports surmonted insurmontable odds to win their second game in a row.
| The Minor League team the Annhilating Nihilists was easily eliminated in the first quarter by refusing to believe that Gridiron was, in fact, coming towards their goal with the X-Ball. They muttered something about "the coming destruction" and wandered off the field. The second quarter began with the Danger Zone Danger revealed to be none other than Ernie Villa, lobbing sharks at the X-Ball players with his Shark Shooter! The sharks managed to repel everyone except Rage, who pushed past the great white barrage and threw the X-Ball to teammate Pain. Pain then ran an offensive manuever on the Flowers, easily penetrating their Kimberly-free defenses and scoring the second goal of the evening. The Snowmen decided to get into the game, storming the Danger Zone en masse. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Danger Zone, Puck had grabbed the X-Ball, and was running into Snowman territory. Coolboard Luke noticed out of the corner of his eye that Puck was passing the X-Ball to Links, who hit the X-Ball towards the Snowmen's goal with a cry of "Fore!" Luke ran for the goal, but he was too late. The Snowmen were out of the game. At this point, Ernie Villa concentrated the attention of his Shark Shooter on the hapless but lovable Monkeys. As the sharks whizzed past their heads, biting down on Starr's face, Puck broke free and grabbed the X-Ball the same time as Rage. It was a stand-off. Until Ernie Villa turned around and pointed the Shark Shooter directly at Rage. Rage dropped the X-Ball, and Ernie Villa fired a mako directly at Rage's head. As Rage struggled with the shark that was biting his tail off, Puck was struggling with the metaphorical shark called the rest of the Reptiles 2 Da Maxx. Pain had grabbed the Monkey, who passed the ball off to teammate Hoops. Hoops ran with the ball past the rest of the Reptiles, bouncing the X-Ball off of Starr's shark covered head and into the goal, winning the game for the Monkeys. The X-Ball Finals begin in September. |
